New debut delivery batch for the T-81 "Ob'yekt/Object 551M" for live fire testing

- 12th February 1986

Official announcement by General Lenis Mantrod, General Secretary of the SRAC

"We are pleased to announce the delivery of 12 T-81, alternatively known as Object 551M tanks today," Lenis said, in a meeting on the 10th.

The T-81 is a modernisation of the T-80UM as part of a modernisation programme of the entire SRA force after the Church-TARDBI conflict. The T-81 has better protection for the crew, increased lethality to all types of ground-based threats and increased mobility whilst keeping costs and weight low, improving logistics.

"The APFR (Army Programme For Re-armament) alongside the joint NWMMP (Next Generation Military Modernisation Programme) with the KKK Empire plans to strengthen our ties between two countries, alongside the fact that most of the technical information on all SRA technology is declassified to TARDBI members to view, it too means that TARDBI's security will be greatly improved," Lenis added.

"-but it is to note, the T-81 is one of the only five modernisation efforts in the APFR and NWMMP. The SRAAF and SRN is still the old one that has been fighting with the same equipment as the ones used in the Church-TARDBI war."

Currently, the most focus has been placed on the SRAC, with many other focuses being placed on land-based radar systems, missile systems and infantry combat systems.
